I'm not sure how long Adam worked to clear that sucker, I keep forgetting to ask him, but I don't think it went easy. Here is the drift by the front door. Under the snow are two large wooden snowflakes that I stuck in the ground when we were decorating the outdoors for Christmas. I guess the wooden dowels they are on need to be a bit longer?
I think that I need to change the "be merry" on the front door to "be warm!" We had a great time catching up with all who made it to Grandpa & Grandma's. Ate plenty of good food, of course. And with a Wii upstairs and a Wii downstairs, the kids were running back and forth, they were in hog heaven. But where else can you find a sweet set up like that? Only at Grandpa & Grandma's house! Then we had Christmas at my mom's on New Year's Day, and that is always a hoot. Watching the little ones, which used to be my sister's kids, then it was my kids and now it is my sister's grandkids running around the house. sigh...
I can't believe the new year is here already, so many things I want to accomplish this year that are swimming around in my head. Lots left over from last year, of course, but that is just normal for me. I've decided not to fret about it. Look! I made a resolution! And I'm keeping it! Done and done! Phew, that's a huge load off!
Okay, now to the next thing on the list, putting the studio back together after the Christmas crafting storm, which wasn't nearly as big this year as years past but just as destructive! I am hoping to stay on top of that also, so much more fun to create in a clean space than a 12" x 12" area pushed open on a table of chaos. Am I right? Wish me luck!
Here is a little holiday font entryway decor that I want to share with you. I finally found a home for one of my most prized possessions, the crown from the crown swap I was in at Silver Bella. Shea herself made it just for me, can you believe it? I still can't! Every time I walk by, which is a million times a day, it still catches my breath. Thanks so very much Shea for sharing your creative gift with me! I just absolutely love it. I don't think I told you that nearly enough at Silver Bella. But I can most assuredly chalk it up to shell shocked! The gorgeous banner at the top of the mirror is from a Pam class the very first year of Silver Bella. It usually hangs in the studio but it may just stay right were it is for awhile.
Here's to a happy, healthy, productive & prosperous New Year!!! I'm off to the studio to work and in the background the dvd player is playing my favorite movie. See if you can guess what it is. Here is a song from it that I cannot get out of my head, "and we're the three best friends that anyone ever had..."
